NSNA Announces Keynote Speaker for MidYear Conference in Louisville
NSNA is pleased to announce Sue C. DeLaune, MN, RN, as the keynote speaker for the 31st Annual MidYear Career Planning Conference on November 7-10, 2013 in Louisville, Kentucky. Ms. DeLaune is an Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing in New Orleans.
In addition to teaching, Ms. DeLaune is the author of Fundamentals of Nursing: Standards & Practice published by NSNA Alliance Partner, Delmar Cengage Learning. She has written several other textbook chapters and journal articles and has given numerous presentations to health care professionals across the U.S. Her areas of interest are humor and health, increasing interpersonal effectiveness, and stress management. She is an active member of ANA, NLN, and Sigma Theta Tau, Epsilon Nu chapter. She has been selected as one of the Great 100 Nurses by the New Orleans District Nurses Association.
In April 2013, during the NSNA 61st Annual Convention in Charlotte, NC, Ms. DeLaune led a focus session as well as a faculty workshop on the topic of humor and health. In the April/May 2013 issue of Imprint, she was a featured author.
